In the context of "Left Behind" and its extended universe, humanism is a more religious concept than its dictionary definition would suggest: it can be considered a faith position that deifies the concept of the human race, effectively stating that the glory of humanity is paramount over the glory of Yahweh, Lucifer, or other Gods.
